Diana Gabaldon talks Outlander season 3, Outlander novel 9. Diana Gabaldon just spilled some details about Outlander season 3 on Starz, and her upcoming ninth Outlander novel. Diana Gabaldon recently visited one of her favorite independent bookstores, The Poisoned Pen located in Phoenix, Arizona. In the video below she talks about two of the upcoming items in her universe The Outlandish Companion Volume Two and The Official Outlander Coloring Book. She also mentions her upcoming novellas, and her next major novel in the Outlander series, which has an Outlander season 3 connection. Aside from the main Outlander novels that focus around the lives of Jamie and Claire, Diana Gabaldon has written a series of novels and novellas that center around the life of three people Lord John Grey, a relative of Roger Mc. Kenzie Wakefield, and Joan Mac. Kimmie. If you are only a fan of the TV show, those three names mean nothing to you at present, but they will come in season 2, and hopefully season 3 when it gets greenlit. In any case, most of these other works feature Lord John Grey and his English aristocratic family in what could be called the historical mystery genre. The good news is that Gabaldon mentioned that she is working on a new novella centered around Lord John Greys brother, Hal, and how he and his wife Minerva, Minnie, got together. Avid readers have met Hal both in the Lord John series as well as in the most recent Outlander novel, Written in My Own Hearts Blood.
